Since you distribute only one version, I should have known all along but, still... I strongly feel that a true Solaris executable should be provided as well, even though this one can run (thanks to the compatibility stuff). Ideally, it should be compiled on an UltraSPARC with the SUN compiler and the V9-specific flag turned on. >How-To-Repeat: file jint-402a >Fix: recompile! >Audit-Trail: State-Changed-From-To: open-analyzed State-Changed-By: neitzel State-Changed-When: Mon Feb 15 18:34:46 MET 1999 State-Changed-Why: You are right that a Solaris-native version would be nice, and that a V9-specific version would be nice. However, the fix is not just to "recompile". The recompilation requires some optimized parts in the code to be re-written for improved portablity. This has already been done for the new WinCE platforms and various Unix platforms will benefit from this as well. Expect proper Solaris binaries as soon as I get the revised code from ISI. >Unformatted:

In order to not repeat this discussion again and again, on every single page, we will introduce the use of --surprise!-- a cookie, and this single cookie only.

So here it comes, the nowadays oh-so-popular Cookie-Opt-In selector. Sorry for having it right here and not popping up stylishly near some page border.
